I had a successful splurge day today with homemade fondue. Lots of raw Organic veggies, a blend of three cheeses – Sharp Cheddar, Gorgonzola, and Smoked Gouda, mixed with Organic shallots chicken stock (organic) and Organic mushrooms. Organic raw veggies are SO healthy, the cheese? Well, it’s a little bit on the fattening side. Not to mention there’s tons of sodium, hence, the splurge day 🙂 When eating cheese drink LOTS of water!
For dessert, chocolate and sliced Organic granny smith apples!
When attempting to do a fondue night, make sure you have a burner similar to what I have in the photo. For the cheese and chocolate: make sure there is a pot of water underneath what is holding the chocolate to avoid scalding.
