I love dogs. They are man’s best friend and there’s something about them that just makes life complete.
You can have a completely negative view about yourself but no matter what YOU may think, or what you think other’s think – your dog absolutely adores you. He looks at you with adoring eyes and barks at you until you give him attention. I can come home from work feeling absolutely defeated (which doesn’t happen often) and my little rescue dog always lifts my mood.
This may sound silly, but why can’t people be more like dogs? No matter what we think we know about a person – why can’t we just be genuinely happy to see them and make them feel like someone important? Today, I challenge you to go out of your way to compliment someone else. To make their day and make them smile. Wouldn’t you like someone to help make YOU smile? 🙂

I just came back from the best vacation I’ve ever had and I can’t help but be completely washed over with a feeling of gratefulness. I truly believe that once you’ve found your person, no one else in the world matters the same way that they do. I’m in love in a way that I have never experienced and I occasionally wonder what I did to deserve it. My boyfriend and I went on a cruise on the MSC Divina to Jamaica, Mexico, Bahamas and Cayman Islands. It was a great learning experience – for travel purposes and each other. I didn’t know it was possible but we managed to become even CLOSER.
Even though I have always had issues with religion and probably always will – I can’t help but always know in my heart that regardless of what religion is right or wrong – there IS a God. I saw a lot of gorgeous views like the one shown above and felt the most amazing love and happiness while on this trip. There is a lot of evil in the world, but with all of the beauty, love, happiness and good that also exists, it’s hard to believe that there isn’t a God and that it all happened by chance.
Regardless, I am back from vacation feeling refreshed and encouraged to make my mark on this world and to lift others up. I also will continue to make the ones I love feel respected, safe and appreciated. Having this AMAZING partner in crime in my life is both a blessing and a privilege. I look forward to many more adventures and doing life with him.
